Dear White Oaks Students, Families, and Staff,
Thank you for another wonderful and productive school year. I cannot thank everyone enough for the endless hours of volunteering, reading, organizing, donating, and doing whatever was necessary to support students — both at home and at school. Special thanks to our PTA who, as usual, went above and beyond the call of duty to provide whatever was necessary to add to our students’ already rich school experience.
That positive experience could not occur without the limitless energy, skills, and devotion of the White Oaks staff. I have great appreciation for the incredible group of professionals who have been tirelessly committed to the success and wellbeing of our students.
A final word to our White Oaks Eagles: Thank you for all your hard work throughout the academic year. I am so honored to be your principal and a member of your community. I am grateful for your enthusiasm, astute insights, and amazing talents. You keep me laughing and young at heart. I am proud to be a White Oaks Eagle.
Best wishes to our sixth-grade students, whom I will miss greatly — please come back and visit. I wish everyone a safe and happy summer break filled with joy, and laughter and learning.
We will see you in August.
Ryan Richardson, Principal
Message from Ms. Cho
Dear White Oaks Students, Families, and Staff,
I can't even begin to express how much I will miss White Oaks! I am excited about the new experiences I will have at Colin Powell, but I am also saddened by my departure. I have created such fond memories and connections here that it will be hard to say goodbye. Thank you to all the students, parents, and teachers over the years for making White Oaks my work home and family! It truly is and has been a great place to work with great people that kept me sharp and energized. I leave with only the best thoughts of White Oaks and I will miss being here!
Have a great summer!

The Lexia Computer Program is available over the summer. Directions on how to access it from home are here.Return to School Survey (New! You now have until June 17 to complete this survey)
FCPS is interested in hearing from parents/caregivers about how the 2021-22 school year has gone for students. You have an opportunity to provide your feedback on our Family Return to School Survey. Please check your email and text messages for the link. The deadline has been extended to Friday, June 17, at 8 p.m.
The survey is being administered by the FCPS Office of Research and Strategic Improvement, which provides objective research and data-based information back to the school division’s leadership. It is part of the office’s continuing evaluation of the pandemic’s impact on our school division.
The survey is available in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, Spanish, Korean, and Farsi, and takes about 15 minutes to complete. We encourage all FCPS parents/caregivers to participate and share their experiences whether positive or negative. The information families provide will be used, along with other data, to support FCPS’ efforts to make improvements that support schools, students, and staff, and for ESSER accountability reporting.
Want to know how your student did on their spring SOL tests before the official report? Families can see SOL scores in the Test History section of SIS ParentVUE. To access Test History, log into your ParentVUE account using a web browser (not the app). You will see spring SOL test subjects, performance levels, and overall scores. Families will also receive an official SOL score report letter with more details by the end of July.
iReady scores will become available mid-July.Tutor.com Summer Access
White Oaks students will continue to have unlimited access to 24/7, on-demand, online tutoring support services through Tutor.com this summer.
