Congratulations to Edith Giffear on being recognized as the February FCPS Cares Recipient of the Month for Region 4 by the Department of Human Resources. Congratulations, Ms. Giffear!

Below is the write up submitted by Ms. Wonderly, a colleague of Ms. Giffear's.

Edith is an amazing coworker.  I'm an NCE teacher and two of my students are in Edith's homeroom.  Edith goes out of her way to include my students whenever possible.  I know that's an expectation, but Edith exceeds expectations.  She makes opportunities, she personally comes to my classroom to get the students we share, if an inclusion event is happening.  Edith is also extremely generous and she doesn't want credit.  At the beginning of the school year, I had posted on our school staff news that I was looking for two particular toys to engage my students.  I simply wanted used toys people gather as they clean house.  Two days later, I had both toys, brand new, on my desk, no note.  Later I realized it was Edith who had gifted our classroom but she didn't want any credit.  Edith Giffear is an amazing teacher, wonderful coworker, and a generous human being who goes quietly about her life leaving sprinkles of love as she goes. Thank you, Ms. Giffear!  We love you!
